Island in the sea

It was a while before I set up this account that I had this dream. I am writing about it now because lately, in my waking hours, it has been popping into my head, somewhat out of the blue with no conscious thought. I remember a lot of the dream very clearly… almost as though remembering actual events.
At the start of the dream, Tatiana and I are in a house with a pair of deaf sisters. I think they were twins. I am fluent in sign language, so that is ok. They were very interesting. For some reason, the mother felt the need to thank me. This part of the dream I don’t recall very clearly. Their house was interesting too, filled with strange nicknacks from their travels. The mother gave me a mirror. It was a large hand mirror. It was silver and very ornate. One couldn’t look into it normally. There were ‘doors’ that needed to open, much like a locket, to be able to see the mirror. The mother cautioned me against looking into the mirror, as it would show me what my future would be in 5 years.
Being desperate to know what my future held, I looked into the mirror. It was a truly strange experience. I seemed to soar over the earth, which then zoomed into an island. I went over Europe and the island was clearly in the Baltic sea. It was a rough, tall, craggy island. The seas were dark and stormy. The island was small, but very solid. I got the impression of strength and stability in the storm.
The dream puzzled me, as the location of the island was fairly specific, being in the south of the Baltic, just below Sweden. I have absolutely no connection with that part of the world, barring Lithuania.
Later in the dream, I swam to the shore of what ended up being an island too. I had been on a boat, which was stuck out at sea…. lack of fuel, I think. This island had a small population. The houses were quaint… very pretty. The kind of place I could see myself living. I don’t remember too much beyond the fact that I was looking for a phone with which to call my husband to tell him of my predicament. I had a phone card, but couldn’t find a phone. I don’t remember much more than that. I do remember being struck with the atmosphere of the island and how pretty it was.
